8. ST. GALLER DIVERSITY & INCLUSION WEEK
16 - 20 September 2024Hosted by the University of St. Gallen since 2017, the St. Gallen Diversity & Inclusion Week is the premier event focusing on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) in the business world. This annual conference combines the latest research with practical business applications
Welcome to the 8th St. Gallen Diversity and Inclusion Week! This year’s focus topic is:
MOVING FORWARD: OVERCOMING DE&I FATIGUE AND RESISTANCE
At a time when discussions on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) are in full swing and solid progress is being made, sceptical voices are increasingly heard pointing to a certain fatigue.
The main theme aims to address the challenge of organisational and individual fatigue in relation to DE&I. The conference will present innovative strategies and measures that you can use to sustainable drive and strengthen your DE&I initiatives.
What are the causes of fatigue? What is the role of managers? How to turn resistance into fruitful discussion? How can the cultural and structural anchoring of DE&I prevent resistance? And last but not least: How can companies keep their DE&I professionals motivated to remain active in the process?
PROGRAMME 2024
A series of online sessions throughout the week will explore the key theme from different perspectives. All online sessions will be offered in German and English with simultaneous translation.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Gender Intelligence Report 2024 will also be launched in a hybrid format.
This year, there will also be an on-site conference (on Thursday 19 September) with refreshing input sessions and a selection of practical workshops. There will also be plenty of time for dialogue and networking.
While there is a fee for the on-site conference, all online offerings are free of charge.
This project is a collaboration between various institutes/schools (Center for Disability and Integration, Institute for Business Ethics, Leaders4Equality, PLAID Lab, School of Humanities and Social Sciences) and the Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Office
